Why dont you guys offer discounted plans instead of always doubling minutes and data.

Ive been waiting for koodo to offer something different than simply doubling minutes and data everytime. It would be nice to offer a discounted price to make the data plans a bit more affordable for students than always doubling the minutes and data on expensive plans. I am very happy with koodo and have been with them for over 2 years now and would like to see a cheaper data plan that can compete with wind.

Doubling the minutes/data is a discount in its own way.

You gotta keep in mind that you can't really compare koodo to wind as wind is not Canada wide for the rates they have. The data in your plan is only in their own coverage zone which is extremely small and when you leave their coverage Zone then your paying per MB of data on top of the price of the plan. Koodo you can use data anywhere in Canada for just the price of the plan for your alloted amount. Also if you want a cheap plan with more focus on just data maybe prepaid would be something to look at for you.

Not to mention the fact that Wind is going broke.

And that it's hard to discount something to "compete" with a company that can't compete with you anywhere aside from price (leading to them going broke) in the first place. Doesn't sound like good business practice to me.

Also because it's MUCH cheaper to offer more (mins, data) than to discount a 'physical' monetary amount.

Double minutes and double data = the customer gets more but still pays the same amount. Therefore, Koodo gets money. If they made the plans cheaper but the same, then Koodo would be losing money.
