why do i have to pick a phone to check out?

Because you're on the web store. It's for buying phones. If you're trying to change your plan or swap devices with another one you own, or any sort of other account maintenance, then you use Self Serve.
OK thanks. Even though they have the SIM Only plan listed on the web store, its only for buying phones? How can you order a SIM to put in a phone I already own? Self serve doesn't work until you have a Koodoo account.

Hey Rob, In order to complete your order online ( credit card required), simply add the SIM card to your cart then proceed to checkout. You'll be asked if you're a new customer/existing customer select one then enter your billing information and continue.
