Unlimited Evenings, Weekends, AND Stat Holidays

Be the first company to offer unlimited evenings, weekends, AND Statutory Holidays. Unlimited evening and weekends are great. It is the period where most individuals use their minutes the most since they are home from work, creating plans, getting in touch with friend & family. The next highest period when this occurs is during Statutory Holidays. If unlimited evening and weekend could be Extended out to Statutory Holidays, it would be something extra that would make Koodo standout even more as a company.

Your suggestion to get Extended free calls for Statutory Holidays: about 21 days depending on observed holiday day in each province is quite lot of days, will other wireless providers follwoup if Koodo decides to allow that? I'm afraid not! http://www.statutoryholidays.com/

From your link I see at most it would be 13 days in Newfoundland and 12 days in Quebec. Most Provinces and Territories it would be 11 days. I wouldnt expect St. Jean Baptiste Day to be a unlimited day outside of Quebec. Nor would I expect Louis Riel Day to be an unlimited day on the East coast. And if Telus can give unlimited calling on your birthdays, I'm thinking setting up statutory holidays wouldn't that far of a stretch. And I think it would be a great Koodo advantage if the other providers didnt match it ^^

True Dennis, but other customers in other provinces will argue why such and such province can get free statutory holiday free, I want to get that day also because I'm going to be there, quite headeach business! even if I want to get those free 13 days myself because I'm in Qc.

Or limit it to New Years, Canada Day, Labour Day, and Christmas which are the only National Statutory Holidays. I dunno... it's just an idea

Koodo is in fact profiting from ideas like yours that other posters post in this community to improve its service.

It's a great idea, Dennis! I know some countries who offer free calling at new year's eve so people can call each other for about 5 minutes before the networks go down 😃 (I'm not being sarcastic!!! this really happens)

I totally agree with the national holidays, even for those that do not celebrate. It would effect everyone regardless of province 🙂

If the national carriers can offer special pricing based on location, then they can surely offer this.

I think its a great idea and not all stats need to be included. Minimize them to Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, New Years Day, Canada Day, Victoria Day. Or something to that effect. Also remember that many customers already have plans of unlimited in and out going calls, so to them there is no difference.
Bell had this years ago with my Motorola flip phone. No idea they didn't do it anymore. And there are probably more like 10 stat holidays by province. Koodo charges me ontario tax, I am sure the same flag could give me the Ontario stat holidays.
