Unlimited Data Plan

An unlimited monthly data plan would be AMAZING!

I hear you there, everything else is Unlimited and Nationwide, would be stellar to also have unlimited Data.

Thats a nice idea but do you think our speed would go slower if that happens? People would be downloading stuff through their data connection rather than wifi. This would increase the workload of our tower and may slow it down. Would we rather have a fast connection with capped data or slow connection with unlimited data? I prefer faster connection but thats just me. Probably in the future when there are more towers built across urban areas and a stronger LTE connection that can download to a true 200mb/s than 14mb/s now.

Not if they implement a fair usage policy like Wind. You abuse, you get throttled. To me, that's preferable to overage fees.

Is there such thing as using your phones internet on lets say, your desktop? It would be much faster then broadband i would think. The downside you would need a lot of data a month to do so though.

Yes I have used my iPhone's tether or 'Personal Hotspot' feature on a few occasions, I usually use it with my iPad while i'm on the go as I send photo shoot proofs or use my Square payment system through it. You just need to know what your downloading and keep it in your mind consciously.

How about increasing your minimum data plans to be 1GB. I burn through 300MB in like 2 days. #iPhones

rather slow with unlimited  when comes to phone  only gaming needs high speed
i rather have my data always on and get my messages no caps   cheap 50$ max but there too stupid to get it to work just proving how dumb the world really is

Well maybe not unlimited, but some users could easily use more than 2gb, as I am a photographer and sometimes have to send files while being tethered on my ipad, through my iphone to deliver the goods to my client on the go.

Yeah I agree, if we can get an extra 2GB that would be awesome. Imagine having 5GB data on a regular plan or as an add-on.

Yes not to say that I would use it all the time, but to have that extra without worry would be stellar. Also to know your getting close to that 5GB and know after that it's $5 for 500MB. (Which is still better than other providers.)
In fact I am surprised Koodo is lagging in this. This is offered by other providers and seems very interesting. If unlimited sounds 'too permissive' then at least increase your cap to something a little more reasonable than 2 Gb.

As soon as someone else brings out a 6GB plan, which is usually a once or twice a year limited promotion, Koodo will do the same. This has already happened previously. What would be cool though is if Koodo took the lead instead of relying on others to set the bar.
wind offers 5gb with a $30 a month plan and allows to add 5gb for $10 more a month...perhaps something along that line would work. I can chew 10gb no problem in a month...so 2gb is racking my bill in overage charges 😞

Why not reduce what you're using and save most of it for wifi usage? 10 gigs of data is a lot for mobile data.

cause wifi isn't available everywhere... plus it has to do with a lot of the games...many are constant data users.

Well if you are willingly using that much data and aren't taking the necessary steps to reduce your data usage, you don't really have any room to complain. That being said, no game, or amount of games, takes 10 gigs of data in a single month. The only thing that comes remotely close is video streaming.

Adam... ... ... obviously you are not a gamer lol

I am a gamer. I do a ton of mobile gaming. Just playing a game(or even multiples) is not enough to build up 10 gigs of data. I maybe break 1.5-2 gigsevery month for data usage with most of it video streaming. Unless there is constant app downloading, it's nearly impossible for general game play connection to use that much data. I am mainly a pc gamer by the way.
It would be nice to have
Unlimited data for sure, Im on the maximum Data plan at 5 gigs and I still find I need more, Koodo is awesome that's the only thing they're needing to incorporate into they're Contract options, if bell can put up hundreds of towers to support the load of the unlimited data then I'm sure koodo could do the same.

I didn't know Bell offers Unlimited Data. Doesn't Koodo uses Bell, Telus, and Sasktel towers?

Take 1 fiber connection high-speed split say 300 users per line that's 8mb lines on a phone only slow downs be 24/7 downloads and if the fix firewalls they have less traffic and if everyone got unlimited like 20$ u be making alot more cause more customers if u do things right u make more..
