My father in law has service with these guys in the states. It's not as cheap as it first looks. I have the $60 plan with koodo. Unlimited minutes nationally, unlimited messaging and 1gb of data. My father in law pay $80 US with Comsumer Cellular and gets less. They do have good coverage though and service is good according to him, so he likes them.

Depends on what "unlimited" means. CC 1200 min + 1 gig data = $50. If you want to pig out, 2500 minutes + 2.5 gig of data for 2 phones is $80 a month TOTAL for 2 phones (shared plan). Currently being offer at $20 discount = $60. Just proof that there is room for all of these guys to budge on larger or pooled orders. Don't think for a minute that the large corporate customers are paying what we individuals do for service, largely because somebody in-house at corporate pays a centralized bill and someone else is a support specialist, reducing a lot of nuisance costs for the service providers.

He has no one to share with, I guess they penalize him for that. 😞 That's why he maybe paying more than if he shared. That's too bad.

I was thinking of getting hitched myself, but for $20?.. it's a little complicated! Hard to go on dating sites and insist on GSM band compatibility without looking a little nerdy.
