Senior cellular options

Is it possible to set up a Doro Phone Easy 620 seniors cell phone on a Koodo unlimited $50 per month plan? Koodo doesn't really offer a senior like cell phone, or that would be my first choice.

http://koodomobile.com/en/on/switch2koodo-step-1-c.shtml input your IMEI # int here to see if your phone will work. If it does then you'll be eligible for 10% discount off your monthly bill because you are bringing your own device over. As for the $50 talk/text price plan you'd be eligible. But any activation would need to be done in store. If worst comes to worst if your phone doesn't work with koodo you can use the koodo tab towards a brand new phone!

I wouldn't always trust the IMEI checker on Koodo's site, it has misinformed people in the past. I assume this is a Rogers Doro Phone. It thus should be compatible with Koodo, as long as it's unlocked.

I don't own the phone yet but was given the number by the seller. When I entered it in the link above, it says "We are unable to find your device. Please ensure you have entered the correct IMEI before contacting the manufacturer or place of purchase for more information. Your device has not been reported as lost or stolen." I confirmed the number with the seller.

Koodo uses these frequencies: Koodo Mobile's CDMA and HSPA networks use the 800MHz and 1900MHz frequencies while their LTE network uses 1700/2100MHz. Check to see if the that phone uses those frequencies. If it doesn't, then it can't be used.

And the model is 612 , not 620. I'm sure it doesn't matter but thought I would add.

http://www.gsmchoice.com/en/catalogue/doro/phoneeasy612/ I believe it should work given the 1900 frequency?

Get it unlocked and give it a try then.

If it's not compatible with Koodo's frequencies, then it won't be able to be used.
