I’m planning on upgrading my phone and learnt that Koodo was offering me a special offer of 4GB/$45 for an upgrade. However, in 3 months I’m going to be out of the country and will have to put my plan on hold for about 5-6 months. I saw on the seasonal hold help page that if a plan is expired by the time I return, I may have to choose a new plan that is currently on the market. In the case with special offers, would I automatically be losing my plan once it goes on hold or do I get to keep it upon return? (Waiting until after I get back to upgrade is unfortunately not an option)

No exceptions. You're gonna lose it. I wouldn't put it on seasonal hold personally.
