Samsung S2 won't select the Network Automatically

My Samsung S2 won't select the Network automatically. I work in USA and cross border twice a day and each time I have to manually search for Network.. The funny part is that it even select the Koodo Network by its own when coming back to Canada. Do you think that this is fair?? I contacted Koodo Kiosk in Windsor and told the issue and they say that we don't know what to do in this case. This is really frustrating

You may wish to contact customer support (611 from your Koodo phone) rather than sales staff at a kiosk. Additionally, contacting Samsung about this may help resolve your issue.

Y ou can try factory resseting your phone. Settings/ Backup and reset/Factory data reset. Keep in mind this will erase anything saved to the phone so if you haven't done so yet back up anything you want saved prior to doing this.

Try using a different sim card to isolate the issue to the sim card or phone. If the issue persists there might be an issue with the cell phone. If your phone was purchased within a year it would still be in warranty assuming there's no physical/water damage to the phone. Keep us posted and let us know what happens!

My brother and a friend also have the same phone and they do have the same issue as well. Looks like that this is a Samsung S2 issue. Our phones are one year old, and it looks like we have to change the phones or the Carrier.. 😞

Can't blame the carrier blame the manufacture.

Finally on the weekend I quit Koodo and switched to Wind and today there was no issue on changing the Network automatically entering US. Its the same Samsung S2. Koodo tech team needs to get their heads between their ears now and find the answer to their problems.

Did you ever switch the sim card?probably not.....So probably by switching providers you ressolved your own issue with switching the sim card. But regardless, enjoy the poor coverage with wind 🙂

Yes, indeed changed the SIM card twice. My brother and another friend also have the exact same issue with Koodo. Now I am enjoying unlimited talk, text and data in all USA with Wind now... and a decent coverage in the city I live in.
