Someone I know wants to by a specific phone and then get a prepaid plan for it.
Are you stuck buying specific phones for prepaid plans or can you buy any phone and then have prepaid set up?

Any phone that works with Koodo postpaid is good for prepaid as well 
I’m currently using the Note 10 on prepaid (and used numerous other phones before), no issues at all!

Most unlocked phones sold by Telus or Bell and their flanker brands will work as well. If you are looking for pre-owned to save a few bucks, I have had great success dealing with secondcell.ca
