Can I activate a talk/text/data plan (ex: $60/month) for just one month and then cancel? And then a few months later re-activate it for another month? And so on throughout the year since I travel once every 4 months? OR:
Do I just get the cheapest monthly plan ($30), and upgrade to a better data plan ($60) every time I travel so I can take advantage of the Roam Like Home? And then downgrade to the $30 plan when I return home for a few months? What I'm asking is if the upgrade/downgrade is instant?
If I go with the first idea, and reactivate it online each time, there shouldn't ever be an activation charge, correct? And fyi, I have an unlocked phone already for this purpose, I don't care if the phone # changes each time, and I'm not interested in any pre-paid plan.
Thanks for any help

If you put the plan on seasonal hold, it's $15/month upto 6 month.
Now it is much easier to just keep it on the cheapest plan while in Canada and change plans when u do travel. But obviously there is a cost.
Why don't you just get a local sim while you travel?
