I live near Seattle and periodically travel to Vancouver and the BC interior. By periodically, I mean once every 3-6 months for 2-3 days on average but sometimes up to a week. I have a phone with AT&T in the US. What I'd like to do is get a prepaid plan in Canada that will let me use my existing phone (Nokia 1020 - and I know it needs to be unlocked). It sounds like Koodo's a great possibility I'm fine with paying $15 for the prepaid plan for a month, even though I'm only there for a few days. However, I would, at the end of my stay, want to at least suspend my service. I would want to purchase a data add-on and a small number of calling minutes. * Is it possible to suspend my account rather than cancel it and have to sign up each time I visit? * If I can suspend it, how long can it stay suspended before Koodo considers it "abandoned" and cancels the account? * Is there a cost for suspending an account? * What happens to my remaining add-on data and minutes when I suspend my account? * Under what circumstances would my add-on data and minutes expire? * How do I reactivate my account the next time I'm there? The idea situation is where I can travel to Canada, pay the $15 base rate, and make use of my data and calling minutes. When I leave, I suspend the account and my data and minutes stay banked up until the next time I'm in Canada (anywhere from 3-6 months later) when I pay another $15. Thanks for your help! David.
