No service in the US

I got the 30ALL add-on and am travelling in Utah and Arizona and after good service for about 6 weeks the last few days my phone says "no service" When I try calling out I get a message "not registered on network" Any ideas, anyone?

Koodo doesn't guarantee service everywhere, you need to be in an area where one of Koodo's Roaming partners is operating. However there are some things to try that may get your service going.

1. Restart your device.

2. Goto your settings and change your network mode to include as many options as possible (lte/wcdma/GSM auto)

4. Change your network selection to Manual. Your phone will perform a scan and show you the available networks. Try Tapping T-Mobile or AT&T if available. If not try the other listed networks. If you don't see any networks (which is totally possible in AZ and UT) then there just aren't any networks available. Keep in mind this disables automatic switching to other Roaming partners so if you loose a signal again you'll need to rescan or switch back to automatic.

Hope this helps. Edit: also you did say 6 weeks, did you re add the add on after 30 days? It doesn't auto renew so you may want to see if your bill needs to be paid or you've reach ed a roaming limit (usually 100$). Check selfserve.

Thanks! Reboot and tap Tmobile worked.
Roaming and data add on for US is a great deal for an Alberta snowbird like me.
Yeay Koodo
Yes I renewed after 30 days...

I realize this exchange between you two is stale but hoping you might shed a little light on my, similar, dilemma. I am in south western Utah using the 30All Koodo roaming plan. I am told AT&T is the only provider in this area. I have my carrier selection on manual, have checked AT&T, but still no service .i have tried re-starting several times. Even went to this resort's "cell phone booster" room. Still "no service". But a local, who has a similar phone uses AT&T and has 4 bars. Any advice? Thanks

What phone do you have? Are you on prepaid? Is your bill current?

Thanks, but I solved it . I have an iPhone 4s. I googled my problem and said, as last resort, go to settings-general-reset-reset network settings. It cancels the wifi and pairings you have set up, but it worked. I realize now the root problem might have been an Apple op system update I received a few days ago. Thanks for getting back to me and hopefully my solution can go into your toolbox of helps for others.

Always glad to add another tool to the public arsenal.

It really depends on where you are. I was in SW Utah and NW Arizona recently and coverage was quite sporadic. I was using a Roam Mobility SIM on the T-Mobile network, and away from the major highways there was often no service at all.

Turns out the Americans don't have as good a coverage that we do. 🙂 Outside of major cities cellservice is not exactly spotless.

Won't make your day. Not the first time Arizona & Utah show up on the problem list. It may be little consolation but Verizon and AT&T are really spotty there as well. http://community.koodomobile.com/koodo/topics/no-network-in-the-us
