There is SaskTel in Saskatchewan, and MTS in Manitoba. This is what competition brings in terms of plan pricing. You can now make your own conclusions...

If I do some digging, I'm pretty sure I can find the idea I posted on a similar topic because I got a littel upset about how Koodo does awesome plans specific to a rpovince not nationwide which isn't fair to a vast majority of the population we have as customers.

I'll admit, I did go about that idea wrong though due to my status in this community. I made my apologies to the right person and have shaped up since then..well as long as no one calls me a simpleton...if anyone remembers that lovely thread lol

We remember Tyler 😛 Like the QC promo plan I subscribed to a couple of days ago. Basically, it's $50 for unlm voice+SMS / 1GB. In my case $45 since I'm BYOD. It's great, it really is, but it pales in comparison to $55 for unlm everything + 5GB. To keep things simple, it should be (like we all said): nationwide carrier? nationwide plans! Uninteresting bit of info: I still have my prepaid line!

The 50$ promo plan for Quebec only would cost me 40.50$ (5$ student rebate) but I still think this is a complete ripoff when you compare it with the 55$ SK/MB plan which would be 45$ BYOD. Verizon, please come, at least if your plans are not that good, we'll still have another choice.
i cant wait for USA providers to move up here.. tired of getting raped by the big 3.

Competition would help the market, but the wait is what I can't do anymore hahaha

You might be disappointed!! I lived in the states for a couple of years and had Verizon. My base plan for the same stuff that I have now here was about $10 more expensive. Plus they scewed me over every time I changed phones. If Vodafone came up here we would have a chance. But that's not gonna happen now that Verizon is taking a run at them.

plans change over the years. Currently you can get unlimited talk, text and 2GB for $60 or 4GB for $70 on Verizon. Basically double the data that we get up here.

Verizon also has a nice 6GB for $30 addon available right now. The same thing we long to have here again.

And that's how Verizon rapes you. That $70 plan actually cost you $110 BEFORE taxes. There is a $40 line access fee they add to your plan. You CANNOT opt out of that.

It's true they have a $40 line access fee, but I doubt they'd bring that strategy with them if they came here, it would be suicide imo. IF they ever came, they'd need to aggressively build an initial customer base, the only way they can do that is by undercutting the competition. You can actually get by the $40 line access fee if you go prepaid, which isn't too bad of a deal tbh if you don't mind dealing with a prepaid system. $70/month gets unlimited calling, unlimited text/picture messaging & 4GB of data. From what I can tell, their prepaid plans beat the postpaid plans we have access to here.

I have a $56 plan with 6gb and barely use half data. I'd actually be ok with much less data. I don't need anything more. And I don't think things will get better than that.

What are the requirements to get the plan on the account? Do you need a MB/Sk phone number and/or a MB/SK address? (asking towards a koodo employee)

What would happen if someone from Saskatchewan or Manitoba got this plan and then moved to Ontario but kept the number? Could they keep the plan?

I think if they kept the number and did not change the address, it will still be fine...I'll have to ask around

Don't take a 2 year contract and bam you save 40$/month... Better eh?
No wonder why we all hate ROBELUS. Competition is bad ? Then why are you proving us that it's only good with your competitive plans in SK/MB ?
Waiting for Verizon to come into game. The big 3 now resisting the entry and raising the prices at same time ? Does not make any sense . I also posted an idea about this plan and no one supported . If these guys are serious , they should lower the prices and make customers. Low profit x double customers will yield them same profit. Wind and mobilcity has over 700k customers and if they even convert 100k into their customers with good pricing is win win for both.
