My plan's data isn't enough!

I keep surpassing my data limit every month and paying a lot so I think it's time to do something about it ahaha I only have 600MB... I don't know how I thought that would be enough. How can I add more to my plan? Or do I have to get a new plan entirely?

Upgrade your plan to a higher data amount. Look at Koodo's plans.

Log into your self serve account and go to "Plans and Add-ons" then "change your plan". You can do this once a month through self serve free.

They have a $60 plan that is unlimited minutes and text plus 1 gb data. Probably costs you less than what you are paying now with the overage on the data.

does anyone know if there's a certain time of the year they come out with more special offers or plans?

Also if your data is getting used up strangely fast, it could be because of video streaming since youtube tends to eat data up.

Like what Daniel said, try to see what is eating up all of your data. Downloading applications and watching youtube videos are huge data consumers. You may want to lower your usage or get a plan with more data.

Try to use Wi-Fi as much as you can 🙂

yes I always try, the places I spend the most time is school and home and both have wifi so it's funny how I use so much somehow.... my cousin told me to log out of all my social media accounts but that's so annoying to have to do that every time... I don't stream video

What kind of phone do you have? If it's an iPhone you can disable individual apps from using cellular data if you're running iOS 7 (other phones may have this option as well).

See below, I had to make a new post to insert a screenshot 🙂.

I'm guessing you're on the now expired $39 plan if you have 600 MB. The overage was (when it first came out) $5/200 MB if I remember correctly... That's essentially $49 for 1GB of data. None of the plans that are out now can match that unless you're in Quebec or MB/SK
yes I have the $39 plan... that's what I was thinking too but I just wasn't sure what Koodo has to offer right now... I've heard of negotiating over the phone to get a better plan

They don't negotiate. 🙂 Which in my mind is a good thing. Everyone gets the same deal, no advantages for those want to bargain,

In reply to the comment to me above: Yes, As long as it's updated to iOS 7 (this is required), right on the main part of settings when you open it you'll see Cellular as an option. It will then show all the apps you have, how much data theyved used in the current cycle (must be manually reset) and theres a toggle to turn all of them off.
