large bill


Hey there. I recently travelled on a cruise. Ahead of the cruise I bought a US add-on, as well as an international add-on knowing that when I was on the islands I would probably want to connect when there was no wifi. I can see now that I'm back that I was charged for both add-ons, but I was also charged an extra over $500 for airtime and data that should have been included in the add-ons I bought. I've paid it as I didn't want this to go as a bill unpaid. Ahead of calling Koodo, can anyone offer some advice? I've read elsewhere that I'm supposed to receive notifications if I'm getting close to topping out my data, but didn't receive anything. Is my data also not supposed to be capped? Just unsure why I got a $500+ bill when I normally pay around $40+ a month.

Wondering if it's worth a call to Koodo? And didn't want to call if this is something that can be solved online.

Hello Lady Actually that's not something you can resolve online. Koodo needs to follow CRTC rules.mentionned here : http://crtc.gc.ca/eng/phone/mobile/prepay.htm I don't know why you didn't receive those texts

Did you go over your usage? Because if you did, that's why you might get charged so much.
I didn't. I get those notifications and was only a few days into the months when I left on vacay - plus with the add ons...
