Koodo Mobile-TV

I used to be with Rogers and I used Mobile-TV from Rogers for $10 a month for 10 hrs of Mobile-TV. I think that Koodo Mobile should also get mobile tv. Or maybe, make it free for people who use the $75 3GB plan.

The problem I see here is that in order to stream tv from your phone, telus, koodo's parent company, would have to gain the rights to stream that content over their network which would cost a presumably astronomical amount considering Rogers is a competitor, and in addition I don't think if telus did choose to go this route they would allow this feature on their discount brand (koodo). However, all that being said, I would love to be able to stream tv at the current price points with these existing features if it were possible 🙂 and only time will tell if koodo will have mobile tv.

Telus already offers a mobile TV package, so I'm sure if they wanted to they could offer this on Koodo easily enough.... I'd love to see this personally, and when I was with Rogers I utilized their mobile TV access fairly regularily, but I fully agree that it probably won't happen. Just like you said, it seems the decision has already been made that these types of 'premium' services don't fit with the koodo brand.

Are you saying this is available to Koodo customers?

Nope. Not right now at least. You have to be a telus customer
With the amount of TV shows online via the internet on their own sites or via streaming options (Netflix, Crackle, etc) is this not just an issue of general data to be selected by the user versus a $10 channel stuck on the for targeted media from the same provider as your cellphone. I'd prefer to additional data, or having more places you wait in (like when you take your Mother, Wife and Daughter clothes shopping) with free wifi
