Keep getting error message when trying to remove Applecare+ add on.

I’ve been trying to remove my AppleCare add on for about a week now and this message keeps popping up:”Oops! We're unable to remove the extended warranty from your account right now.” My partner bought his phone the same day and same plan two years ago and was able to do it no problem. Any ideas?
