I need plan suggestions please.

Hi there, I just cancelled my cell phone plan, have had previous plans with Telus/Rogers but am looking to get a new plan/sign up for a 2 year contract if necessary. I'll be moving back to Winnipeg in September for a few months and then I'm off to Brazil for at least 6 months. I am looking for an affordable plan with unlimited texting that will enable me to switch over to Brazil once I fly over. Thanks, Stefan

Brazil (Listeni/brəˈzɪl/; Portuguese: Brasil [bɾaˈziw]), officially the Federative Republic of Brazil (Portuguese: República Federativa do Brasil) , is the largest country in both South America and the Latin American region. It is the world's fifth largest country, both by geographical area and by population. It is the largest Portuguese-speaking country in the world, and the only one in the Americas. Hey now

You can never be too certain about the original poster's intentions. But all kidding aside the Koodo $15 plan + booster is the way to go. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0088846/?ref_=nv_sr_1

You could always go with Koodo prepaid for unlimited texting and some minutes. If you're not a high user of data, this might be it. Because when you go to Brazil for 6 months you could just switch off your account with paying no extra. If you sign up on a contract you would have to pay at least 15$ per month in order to keep your account open

The prepaid option is probable the best way to go (as Robert said), and then when you get to Brazil (now that we know what Brazil is, thanks to Chad). Once you get to Brazil, you can get a SIM card from there, probably prepaid since you are only planning on staying about 6 mths - if you decide that you really like it you can either keep prepaid or switch to a postpaid while you are down there.
