Your best bet is to sign up for Koodo prepaid.  No credit checks required

You can do prepaid without issue. If you don't clear with a postpaid account you might be able to qualify for the spending limit program, where if you go six months without issue then you should be able to qualify

As an international student, you have a social insurance card or number, correct?
To go post-paid, bring your social insurance number document, your passport (for photo ID) and a copy of a utility bill or some proof of address.
You might have to pay the tab up-front if you're taking a phone from Koodo, but that'd be it.
Mind you, unless you're studying in SK, MB or QC, you'd likely be better off depending on your needs with Public Mobile, they're entirely pre-paid but offer competitive comprehensive plans.
Thanks for all your kind replies. I would like to have a postpaid monthly plan as soon as possible.

I had an international student who had no problem signin up with Fido. No credit check required.
Thanks
