Former client that went abroad for 3 years found old SIM card. Can I use it?

I was a Koodo client 3 years ago, then I moved abroad. I am back in Canada for few months and wanted to get a prepaid plan. I found my old SIM card and it fits my new phone. Can i use this SiM card to get myself a prepaid plan? Also, when I put my old SIM card in my phone, I see my old phone number.

I am simply wondering if I can use the old SIM card to get a prepaid plan, and want to know if my old phone number would still be active or not.

Thank you!

Unfortunately not. The number Wil have long since been recycled. You can try it i suppose but if it won't work out then I'd go anywhere that sells prepaid Koodo sims to grab a new one to setup.

Unless you were still paying for a plan, the sim should be dead after 90 days of it being deactivated.

If you don’t have access to a Koodo store, the prepaid SIMS are often available on eBay.ca (not eBay.com). Ignore any printed advertising they may have on them… the $$ credit on activation was done away with a long time ago, but the SIM will work fine.
