Fido Triple Double Plan

Userlevel 1
Fido is currently offering a "Triple Double" plan that offers, for $39/mo, 450 minutes and 400MB of data and is otherwise identical to Koodo's $30 Canada-wide data plan that I am currently on. I won't leave Koodo to get it, but I guarantee you that if Koodo matched this offer, I would gladly upgrade both my wife and I to this plan, which would be a price increase for both of us, i.e. Koodo would be bringing in more money. Get on it El Tabador!

Koodo has the same. Last night a friend got this plan from a koodo shop. It's not on koodo's website but it seems it's in their system.

Good idea, I should go and talk to a person at a shop and see if they can offer it to me.
hmm.. Fido evenings at 6, 450 min, 400mb of data, cid/vm/texts Koodo $30 150min, 100m, evening at 7 Koodo $45 400min, 500mb, evening at 5... for the $6 difference, I would go with Koodo $45 plan get the extra 100mb, earlier evenings, and koodo's great customer service....

As mentioned, the self serve now has a $39 plan (no description attached though)

Yeah, I'm going to call them at lunch time and confirm the details before I make the change in Self Serve, but you can bet, that if they are what I expect them to be, I will be making the change. Way to go Koodo, for continuing to be AWESOME.

Also, how long have you been with Koodo? Your 30$ plan would've been 150min/200Mb/evening at 7 if you would've watched the advertisements. They double everything. I am on the 45$ plan with 400min/1GB/evenings at 5. Really amazing deal

I've been with Koodo for nearly two years (I think). I did get in on the double talk, double data plan, so I have 150min and 200MB. I am just saying that for the extra $9 a month, I would definitely make the jump, but I'm not sure I would go all the way to the $45 plan. That's an annual difference of $79 between the two. Either way, I'm not leaving Koodo, but just wanted them to know that if they did offer that plan, I would make the jump.

As Chris mentioned, Koodo does have the plan for the same price and features as Fido. Just give Koodo a call for the change or try in Self Serve to change it yourself. I don't know if you can find Koodo's $39 plan in Self Serve. If you can't find it, just call to get it changed and I highly doubt they would charge teh $10 plan change fee over the phone as the plan cannot be found in Self Serve.

Love the one uping each other that goes on between Koodo and Fido, it really gets us customers some great deals 😉

I couldn't agree more. That's how a free market is supposed to work right? When the customer wins, it's best for everyone.

It's in their self serve system to Ken. I wouldn't call this one upping. They simply matched what the others had. That has been going on for years.

Here's was referencing what went on at Christmas where each company kept uping the other by going a dollar lower than the other. I hope it happens again with this being the beginning 😉

Man, that was hilarious when we saw the changes for the $56 plan. It was $60, then a week or less later it went to $57, the a day or two after that it was $56. I had a call once where someone asked about it and I basically said, "what price do you think it is today?" He saw the humor lol

I was pleasantly surprised with this one too. I signed up for the $60 plan, got a text message from them saying "Thanks for signing up for the $57 plan" and then a couple days later a text saying "You are now on the $56 plan"... Less than a week, and $4/month cheaper.. Had to fight with Rogers for 20 years to get any sort of break when they changed plans...

Yeah, I see the $39 plan in Self Serve, but there is no description attached, so I am going to call and confirm the details, then make the switch. Like I said above, thanks again Koodo for continuing to be AWESOME!

So I held good to my word. I called up Koodo and confirmed the details of the $39 plan that can be found in Self Serve. Just as was stated by others above, it is 450 min, 400 MB, 6 pm Evenings and weekends, CID, VM, and all that good stuff. I switched both my wife and I onto that plan. Thanks Koodo.

Surprisingly it's not on the website... here's The Skinny for ya, folks. Ends May 1st.

I gots the 6gb data plan and am contemplating getting this baby. I also have Fido and Virgin in my household and even though they started this competitive plan, I will be moving them all to Koodo and putting them all on this plan and becoming an all Koodo family. Get it before it's gone!

Thanks guys for letting the community know that we already offer this 🙂 Ken, keep those ideas coming! - Sumaya
