Existing customer, want to switch to a new plan

Hello all, firstly I want to start by giving you the details of my current plan. I am on last year’s Black Friday offer of $45/mo for 50GB data (it’s $65 but $20 in monthly credits making it $45). I got this plan with the iPhone 11 on a 24 month tab for $0/mo.

My question is, if I switch my plan for the $60/100GB CAN-US, will I still be getting $20 monthly credits for the next 12 months? Essentially making the plan $40 for one year.

Also, if I want to upgrade the phone how will that work? Would I have to pay off the remaining tab before I upgrade? Specifically I am looking into the Pixel 7 for $0/mo and $0 upfront. If I keep the iPhone for another year, it will be free.

thanks in advance

If you upgrade, the credit will likely drop and credit generally wouldn't stack.

As well, make sure you check the remaining phone credit (or tab bonus). If you upgrade before the 24 month period, you will have to pay that amount.

Ah okay. For the phone upgrade, I figured I would have to pay off the remaining tab balance. I think I’ll stick it out for another year.

But just to be clear, if I switch the plan, most likely the $20 monthly bill credits won’t carry over?

A rep mentioned that if you switch (not upgrade) to a plan with higher rateplan, the credit will stay. I also saw reports where you could keep the credit with lower rateplan. However, only a rep can confirm on certain cases.

Thank you so much! I will see what else pops up in the next week and will definitely be giving Koodo a call!
