Existing Customer - Black Friday deal not appearing in Shop

I just paid off my tab, although it says I have Tab Bonus Balance remaining, but I’m still unable to change my plan to the 30gb/$34 plan BF plan. Any advice on how I can get this plan? I thought paying off my Tab would open up the option.

 

I’ve realized when I click the BF ad and shop all plans it’s taking me to a page that expects me to upgrade my phone, the one I’m currently using with Koodo. Will I have to cancel my current contract with them prior to changing over?

That plan is for new customers only. It even mentioned " Not available on rate plan change for existing customers"

You mentioned that you paid off your Tab balance. But paying off doesn't qualify you as a new customer.  (You still have tab bonus on your account too.)

If you cancel your service, then you need to pay back your tab bonus. You could open up a new account, but you can't transfer your current number.                          If you are willing to pay back the tab bonus and want to keep your number, other providers are the offering the same deal…

You could set up a call back and ask a rep, but no guarantees.

I eventually saw it’s for new customers, but not until I logged out and was able to finally view the full details - unintuitive design but I guess that’s because existing customers aren’t supposed to see it. Unfortunate, it seems I’m not the only one disappointed by the new customer clause when browsing other resources.

I'm not sure how much  tab bonus left. You can check it through your self serve.  Most of time,  you can buy a phone without upfront cost and low monthly payment because there is a heavy amount on the tab bonus. 

What plan currently you have? Do you see like $45 for $50 as plan change.  I can see a few plans to switch to. But BYOD is not available since I have a tab plan.
