Does the 15 day trial period apply to a plan on an old Koodo phone I reactivated as a second cell and then discovered I didn't need?

My daughter is visiting from Scotland for two months and I thought I'd reactivate my old Koodo phone [no Tab, all paid off and everything] for her so she'd have a phone while she is here. I added it as a second number to my own monthly bill. But she got home yesterday and had already reactivated her own old phone, so she really doesn't need it. They said at the mall kiosk I'd have to give 30 days notice to cancel the plan. Is that still true or does the service cancellation within 15 days thing in the agreement apply here? She hasn't used any minutes or anything on it yet. It's 28 days until the next bill, so if I can't cancel, I will end up paying for two months of useless phone service! Anyone know if the "trial period" still applies to plans without new phones attached? Thanks a lot!

If you signed a new Service Agreement with Koodo, the 15 day trial period most certainly does apply to you!

If you bring everything back to the Koodo Kiosk they'll be able to do everything for you 🙂

She doesn't have anything to return to koodo from what I can tell. Doesn't the 15 days only apply to returning phones? She would still have to pay for the service otherwise people could just activate and cancel every 2 weeks and get free service.

I believe Rudy is correct. 15 day trial for a device. And you don't need give them 30 days notice to cancel the plan. When you canceled your service, the cancellation date will set on the end of the billing cycle and it is the day your service will stop.

She can cancel the plan within 15 days and if she stayed under 30mins, 50 texts and 50mb of data, the bill will be waived. Otherwise, she may still cancel however she will be billed for the usage.
