Do I have to transfer the plan to the new phone?

I am a current Koodo customer and I found that my current bill of 55$ for 5G of data is outdated and Koodo is offering 8 G of data for the same prince (with a tab). I don’t need a new phone, but the option to bring my own phone is not available.

They have a phone for 1$ per month. If I get this new plan ($55 for 8G) choose the $1/month phone, can I use the plan on my existing phone? Or does the new phone come with the plan already installed?

You should be able to simply change your plans to any of the current in market ones. Have you tried to just change your plan in selfserve and see if it let's you?

You can use any plan with any phone including your current one 🙂 So if you can get the plan by buying a super cheap phone, go for it. You can sell the phone if you wish.
