I upgraded my plan from 6 to 10 gb. Now I got a message that I used my 5 gb and got suspended. So had to buy data to use my phone.

If you are switching mid cycle, your data gets pro rated. Meaning instead of getting the full amount you only get half if you switch mid cycle.
