Data charges

When I send a picture I have to turn on my data and then after it is sent I turn it off. I do not have a data plan, am I charged for this and does the same apply if I travel into the US?

You won't be charged for "this" specifically, but you'll be charged for everything else that happens in the background at the same time, sadly 😞 The effect will be minimal if you're on WiFi while doing this, but still enough to trigger data charges.

Beat me to it. I gotta start dictating my replies. I'm too slow typing. 🙂

lol! I got caught one too many times with this too, Chris! I now CTRL-A + CTRL-C every post I make, hit F5, and then post, to make sure now :oP At some point, in the past, I sounded like a parrot because it happened to me [i]every.single.time :oD

Sending pictures is included in your unlimited messaging plan. Data does have to be turned on for pictures to go through. You are not charged for that. But, if you have any app open, running in the background, they will try to update and pull in info. For example if you left the weather app running it will try to get the most info. So, turn all apps off to avoid the "leakage".
