Data add-ons?


Yesterday I wanted to downgrade my data add-on, as I was using less than I was in my home town (I had no wifi at work), so I removed the Heavyweight data add-on with the intention of replacing it with the Lightweight. But now I can't see any data add-ons at all. Is this just because I can only change my plan once every cycle, or does Koodo no long offer data add-ons and I have royally messed up? (For the record, I have a Samsung Galaxy S4 with the $25 Canada-wide plan from 2009.)

They should have been a warning when you removed the add-on. I think at best case maybe you call Koodo right away they may undo your removal (no promises though). Or you can look at Koodo's current plans to see if one of those would fit what you are looking for
There was no warning, and after phoning they've told me there's nothing they can do. Looks like I'm screwed.

Explain to them there was no warning. Call maybe once more. Maybe another guy might have some more flex. If they still say no a second time then ya... it's unfortunate. Ouch, so sorry for your loss. That stinks. The problem might be that the add on is no longer in the system available to be added, that's why koodo reps said they couldn't do anything. Depending on your location, you may want to check the plans available to you now as some can be quite good if you look at them closely. If you're in QC for instance, the 45$ plan includes 1gb of data with a very attractive data overage at just 10$ per gb If you're in MB or SK there is a 5gb plan available for 60$
Dennis, as per your suggestion I called again, and the second woman I spoke to was much more helpful - I have my data add-on back! Looks like everything is okay now!
