Canada wide double plans and extra data

Userlevel 3
I on the Canada wide double data plan 45$ and was wondering how extra data is charged. Is it a per MB charge or can we get the same "Additional data $5/500MB." that is on the Canada wide data plans? if I can get the 5$ for 500MB do I need to add that proactively or will it get added once I go over?

For the DOUBLE PROMO plans, the overage rate is $0.02 ($20/GB or $10/500MB). The overage rate you see on the website is for the advertised plans, not the double promo plans. Also, you can't add anymore data on top of that if you go over, you will just be charged the overage rate per MB.

You could always switch to the newer $45 Data plan. You lose 100 minutes but you get that better overage rate.
If he switches to the new plan he will also lose 500mb of data as well as it was double Data and Minutes promo.

Actually, the double promo plan only had 500MB of data (250MB doubled to 500MB.) This plan on the website is completely different from the original 🙂

Sorry for the error. I see now it was the $30 and $60 that were double what they are now, and not the $45.
