Lots of folks snowbird down south. Used to have a plan with Telus or Bell that gave us 250 minutes anywhere in North America for $75 per month --- long since discontinued. I live in the sticks in Canada, so Koodo is my only viable choice. Every call I make is "long distance". But now with the internet, that "long distance" concept is due to be shattered. Since Koodo already roams with AT&T and Consumer Cellular offers (AT&T resale!!!) plans in the US much cheaper than Koodo, why not do a partnership? While I am in the US & using Consumer, I pay 4 cents a minute to call Canada (vs $1.50 a minute with Koodo). US calling and data rates are much less than if I were sticking with the home team. And in the meantime, I pay Koodo $15/month to put my Cdn service to "sleep". It's much cheaper for me to zombie Koodo and flirt in the US. Koodo, find yourself a reason to keep us loyal. please.
