I received the Black Friday text promo stating I can receive the Samsung S24 FE for $0 with a tab plan, “when you renew on our rate plan from $40 with 70 GB of data, or any other in-market plan from $45 and above.”.

I read elsewhere that I can keep my current plan but want to confirm that I can keep my current set up for now, wait for the new phone, but will be paying an extra $10 a month for the next 24 months if I sign up?

I’m on a $30 BYOD plan at the moment. Would that then be considered the “$40 plan” if it’s adding the $10 tab to my current?

Thanks,

The BYOD plan does not allow for any tab... because by definition it expects you to purchase a device outright. But if you are willing to play $10 more anyway, you might as well consider changing to the $40 plan.

Who is getting this offer? I have an eligible $60 CAN/US plan and didn’t see the option to get it free. At $5/month it’s almost free anyway though just curious why some got the offer.

Your plan belongs to a different category though. Are you carrying a Tab balance with Koodo?

I got the plan when I wasn’t carrying a tab and it qualifies as a Tab Plus it let’s met get tab plus phone discounts

I was able to get the S24 FE through chat box call back today on a $34 plan with 75GB 4G data. They gave me a tab bonus so Koodo pays the $46 and change each month but on my agreement I just noticed the plan is a month to month?

I don’t understand this as I’m essentially locked in for 2 years with the bonus tab but does this mean Koodo can change my plan from $34 a month since the contract says month to month?

Carriers reserve that right and they might but they are good at honoring your plan and rates in my experience. They have never bumped my plans in the 5+ years I have been with them. If they do increase the price I wouldn’t expect it to be too significant because they are still trying to keep customers and compete with other providers.

I wouldn’t worry too much because any price increase is usually because you had a credit run out in my experience. if you email Koodo.WebStore@koodomobile.com or have ask a rep they can clarify further as I this is the extent of my knowledge not being a Koodo rep myself.
