Windmobile Moto G compatibility

I am wondering if my Moto G that I purchased from Windmobile is compatible for the Koodo system. Does Koodo operate on the 1700 mH and 21 mH frequencies so that I can unlock it and open an account with Koodo?

I read your post again and now I see what I have misinterpreted. At first, I thought you were implying that the G (any G) had all bands enabled, but it was lousy reading from my part. From a Canadian to another one, sorry.

David, with all due respect, I'm not seeing the relevance in your first sentence. I answered the question from waywaybeyond's perspective, where he or she would be bringing the Moto G from WIND over to Koodo. I'm well aware that WIND sells the XT1034 and that the XT1032 is incompatible with WIND. Nevertheless, you've provided some very thorough answers and I hope this clears any confusion the OP may have.

The model sold at Koodo won't work on Wind rikk. It lacks the AWS band. It does, however, have the 2100 one used in Europe. Wind's model will work with Koodo though. It lacks the 2100 freq, but has AWS and the 850/1900 ones. I got my AWS XT1034 through Chad from Motorola in the US a couple months back.

Yes, the Moto G has all the radio frequencies that both WIND Mobile and Koodo operate on. David's variant is either the T-Mobile or AT&T variant, which operate on the same radio frequencies as WIND Mobile. Once the device is carrier unlocked, your Moto G will work on Koodo's system.

yes waywaybeyond, both variants sold in North America (XT1032 and XT1034) will work with Koodo. Koodo operates on 850/1900 and both models support these freqs. Only difference is the 2100 freq, which the XT1032 supports whereas the XT1034 supports the 1700 freq instead. The XT1032 is referred to as the Global Model. (sold at Koodo, will NOT work on WInd) The XT1034 is the US GSM Model. (sold at Wind, WILL work on Koodo)

I am getting all kinds of different answers - all contradictory. So, David, you are saying that my Moto G will work on Koodo? I am wondering what to believe. I thought this community was credible.....

If it can help remove any confusion waywaybeyond, I've been using an 16GB XT1034 on Koodo's network for the past couple of months and YES it does work! (I got it from the US, not from Wind, but it's the exact same model). Unlock it first and enjoy 🙂

Koodo uses 3G HSPA+ 850/1900 4G LTE 1700/2100 So based on the specs here: https://www.windmobile.ca/plans-and-devices/mobile-devices/device-details/moto-g#tech-specs Yes the Moto G will work with Koodo
I meant 1700 mH and 2100 mH frequency
