Will Koodo stop the guy(s) selling the MB/SK plan?

This/these guy(s) has/have been doing this thing for a long time now. They are charging people $50-100 to give them the well-known plan.

This person seems to be working for Koodo or working for a dealer as he's able to make changes to people's accounts without them being present. How come Koodo cannot stop this guy? You should be able to find out who is making that many changes to people's accounts?

Apparently this guy is making so much money and is not even afraid of Koodo that he put a PAID AD on Facebook! It even says "As featured in CBC, Huffington Post, Globe and Mail."

Are you guys serious?

I am sure Koodo will try to stop him if you give more information about that guy.

He even has a website dedicated to this plan. It says if you get the plan from him, it is guaranteed. Now, employees come here and show a screenshot of 1-2 people claiming that their plans got taken away, and that they are actually auditing accounts. This guy is banking on hundreds of people.

Like he says, he was even on the news. "Tony"

I don't want to post links here and help his "business."

Koodo is very aware of this guy and "say" they will take the plan away from ppl who do not live where the plan is from but personally have a feeling nothing is being done which if my hunch is correct sucks for us ppl with morals.

@ Howyoudoin We change people's plan back if they are on any of these via "gaming" and they just wasted their money on nothing.

Do you want me to give links? How many do you actually change back? Very few.

Also, why don't you find and stop this guy? Like I said, someone who doesn't have Koodo rep/dealer access can't do what he is doing. So the guy is probably in your company.

He's not. He's asks for your personal information so that he can access your account by calling in and speaking to a rep you must give Tony full access to your account for him to do this. You could actually do it yourself. The other problem with "catching this guy" is he's not doing anything illegal except probably not charging taxes for his services.

Combined with the technically not illegal bit, however many people are doing it is still a very small percentage of subs. The cost of attempting to use every possible option and dropping the hammer on him can easily outweigh the loss of revenue from what is being done. It's also speculated that the negative pr from the price differential being talked about in media could backfire on a lot of articles about it and that's a reason that Telus and Rogers are not pursuing it as aggressively and/or openly.

It's still up to Koodo to stop him.
Either one of these is happening:

1- This guy is one of Koodo's top employees, the management is aware and they are doing this to get more customers
2- This guy has access like a rep
3- This guy knows someone who has access
4- This guy is talking Koodo reps into doing something they are not supposed to
5- Koodo is not closing the loophole, and he keeps doing it through Self-Serve

They could definitely stop him if they wanted to. It has been at least 2 years now I believe. I think they are just publicly telling people they will take away the plan, but actually letting most of them slide through in the back because they keep getting business they wouldn't get otherwise. Then they take a few people's plans to make it look like they are actually actively auditing accounts.

I mean, look at what his FAQ says:

"Will the plan ever be taken away from me?
No! We have been in business for a very long time and have a 100% retention rate. This means every single plan we’ve activated since 2008 is still going strong!"

To someone who said his friend's plan was taken away:
"Our services are guaranteed - so he did not get it through us. He must have tried himself or followed other methods. We have customers on this plan from years ago. All of our plans that we have ever activated are still active and going strong!"

How are you able to offer these plans?"Our team has been involved in the mobile industry for over 10 years. We have sales, management, back-end infrastructure, marketing and advertising experience. We have had multiple partnerships with top Canadian service providers to bring our customers un-heard of plans at unprecedented rates." lol...

It is extremely easy to claim that he has a 100% retention rate, as he knows that due to privacy laws he can never be forced to prove it.

Canada wide pricing? 😮

Bhell is buying MTS. You can bet that Manitoba will have the same high prices very soon. That only leaves SaskTel and Tbaytel to be infiltrated by Robelus. When that happens, they will have absolute oligopoly across the country and gouge all Canadians. That is what they want.

Remember when Robelus started crying when there were news of Verizon potentially coming into Canada? One of their arguments was that Canadian jobs would be lost to Americans. TELUS itself is in the outsourcing business and is sending jobs to other countries. That is what you call hypocrisy.
