Will I get partial charges if I use my data before my billing cycle starts?


I just got a phone plan with Koodo and my billing cycle hasn't started yet, will I get partial charges if I use my data before that day?

Hello there, You just signed up? I suppose you did so you will get partial charges in both cases. Using data won't cost you more.

What plan do you have? So it's not advertised but brand new activations get free data for the first ten days for the purposes of gauging your usage pattern and if you need to adjust your usage or your plan. But yes otherwise you will get a partial charge for the period before your billing cycle turnover day and it will combine with your first full month for your first bill.
I just have Unlimited texting, 1gb data, 500 minutes Canada wide calling, free evenings and weekends. So I can use it for ten days without being charged any extra fee?

Data yes. Not so for calls except during the unmixed evenings and weekends time.

wow thanks for the information! Would be nice if they let us customers know. Its two late now but two months ago just activated two more lines for a total of 3. If my fiance new that he would of went nuts on the data lol

Which is stupid. Why not. The states gets everything included in there plan for less money. It might also bring in more customers or at least tell us while where at their booth. I had a line on my account since 2010 and just brought two more to my account. Obviously I signed up but a little pissed that they do this without telling us. I have 3 gb and used a 100mb. my fiancé is doing a apprenticeship at work and used almost all his 3 gb. It would of been handy so he could continue using the data at work and not when he got home on our unlimited internet. That being said Koodo does have some of the best pricing in Windsor to bring your own phone just would of been a bonus to know.

If they start telling people, then they will abuse the system. This 10 days of free data is to get to know how much data you really use!
