Hello Andrew

I believe you can activate it here if you have a pre paid account already ( although it may have been removed temporarily as i read from other threads) if so just go visit Koodo or give them a call to see what direction you can take.

You can also drop by any Koodo booth and have it activated there! Best of luck

i don't have a prepaid account. I'm from england and find the whole system here confusing. i just want to set up a no contract account but i can't do that because the sim card a bought says its invalid when i type the number in. i don't understand why its so complicated to set a phone up here or at least get a straight answer

How much was the SIM card? The $10 cards are post-paid only. You need the $20 prepaid card (but that has credits that you can use).

Hi Andrew,

In order to activate a monthly account with a monthly bill, all you need to do is visit a Koodo Shop (http://koo.do/1YM8LhV) as Chadwick pointed out. There is no activation fee and it won't take long. But you will need to bring 2 valid pieces of ID for the credit check..

Here is a link with our monthly rate plans: http://koo.do/1HRe5Gz

By the way, we don't offer contacts, so you won't have to worry about that.

If you want to activate a "prepaid" account (no credit check) which works with services you buy ahead of time and for which there is no monthly bill, you can activate that with your new sim online at this link http://koo.do/Q2fiAq. Through that link, you can  pick your service plan and phone number. Click here for info on Prepaid services: http://koo.do/1RuY1i1.

Hope that helps 🙂
