The Galaxy Ace 2X is an entry level Samsung phone & the Galaxy S3 is their top of the line phone from last year. The Galaxy Ace 2x only has a single core processor clocked at 1ghz and 768mb of RAM which means the phone will lag and complete processes very slow & won't be able to play alot of top games that need some real power to run. It's a basic phone that is really only good for talk and text & playing the odd basic game. The Galaxy S3 on the other hand has a Dual core processor clocked at 1.5ghz & has 2gb of RAM which will help support heavy multitasking & be able to play high end games with no lag. It also has a ton more features and supports LTE & NFC which the Ace 2x do not. The S3 has a much larger display that is 720p with a ppi just over 300. The Galaxy S3 will still be updated to the newest software for awhile while the Galaxy Ace 2x is stuck with what it comes out of the box running. The Battery is also much bigger in the S3. The Galaxy S3 is what the Galaxy Ace 2x wishes to be when it grows up lol

Baically in lay-man's terms, it's like comparing a Honda Civic to a Dodge Viper or Lamborgini

Great analogy Damon that's exactly it, while both of them will get you from point A to point B one of them will get there alot slower and with a few possible issues along the way. Plus the Lambo will get you more chick's lol
The Samsung Galaxy ace 2x is a lovely basic smartphone. The Samsung Galaxy S3 is a high end smartphone. It is bigger, faster, and can handle more complicated tasks with ease.

It's not worth it to save some cash in this day an age when it comes to smartphones. Yes they get updated/changed very frequently but if you're going to upgrade, you may as well go all the way and save yourself troubles and jealousy for the following year.
