Want to exchange defective phone bought online. Can I cancel plan/return phone and purchase again?


I realize that in order to exchange a defective phone online, I would need to wait for a return mailer, send my defective phone to Koodo and wait for a new one to arrive. I think this would take several weeks to complete. Would it be possible to just cancel my plan and return the defective phone, and purchase it again with the same plan/phone? I don't want to cheat the system, but needless to say, it's ridiculous that I'd need to wait several weeks to get a good phone, and without even a loaner phone during this period.

If you live by a kiosk, would they not help you with the warranty?

if you are within the return period, I would cancel and return and start from scratch again. Note that if you cancel you will lose your number
