Note that phones manufactured after 12/2017 are mostly unlocked. If the phone is locked, the mobile service provider who locked it, should be able to help you unlock with no fee (in Canada). Otherwise, you may need to do your own research and use an on-line unlocking service (probably, for a fee). Good luck!
