Unlock code for phone with discontinued Koodo service.


My daughter had a Koodo contract. She could not afford the charges so we had to close the account. We paid for the phone that came with the contact, but received no unlock code. How do I get an unlock code?

Well, came back from Xmas break only to read this.... sigh. Rob, out of curiosity, why didn't you simply buy a factory-unlocked phone? The Nexus line is factory unlocked, Apple sells unlocked iPhones directly and there are many other ways to get the phone you want and then get service from whoever you want...

lmafo... you want to play image game with a graphics designer bud...like me to use your logo next?Private forum means you have to abide by their rules, which includes having an polite attitude or you risk not being able to use the service(in this case, being able to post on a forum). There is nothing to be that needs to be escalated. Everything is in plain sight. You thought the unlock code was not included, you were told otherwise with factual evidence. You refuse to believe said factual evidence and have decide to lash out at the community in a very uncalled for way. Don't want to be banned? Don't break the rules of a privately owned forum.

Paying full price means you get the ability to request the unlock without waiting the 90 days. This is covered by the CRTC regulations. If you believe there is an issue, then contact the CRTC regulations and dispute the issue with them, as Koodo is following the regulations as specified.

There is a fee to unlock no matter who your service is with. All fees may vary. If you do not agree with the fee set by the provider who is abiding by the Wireless Code, feel free to use a 3rd party site or someone locally if the price is right. I never sleep. I don't have money. I got kids. I do feel great at night due to the blanket I told you about above. Not anyone's fault but one who does not understand the Wireless Code.

I read article also, based on wording I'm confused. Koodo subsidizes phone, within 90 days, Kood...You realize, of course, that the agency you are complaining about Koodo to is the same agency that put the wording: "give you a way to unlock" in their regulations? Do you somehow believe that THEY don't know what it means?
