Training New Reps =)

Userlevel 2
I work in a slower paced Koodo Shop and I have had to train quite a few people in the last year. In the training videos it tells the new rep to do procedures with clients; but its hard to do so when the mall isn't busy. I think that to improve the training experience, Koodo shoould develop a program where its strictly in training mode. So the manager or trainer can give the new rep situations and show them how to do things without having to wait on clients. At my very first job they could put one till into training mode and I found it helped me a lot. I got to see how the screens were set up, what I could and could not do, and how to change things without actually messing anything up. If we could turn our one till that we never use into a temporary training till for a day or two, I believe it would benefit all reps in the store. Plus, it would speed up real transactions with clients since the new rep has been training on their own. hope theres other managers/reps out there who agree..

So why not talk directly to your trainer/manager about this? Highly dobut Koodo will do anything about their training from a community board post.

It's a great idea Arika, and Sherlock has the right idea. Being is this is more of a public forum for helping clients this idea may not go to the proper people. Bringing it up to your manager (or DM if you have those) might be the better way to get this implemented 🙂.
Arika, Should you not be marked as a Koodo employee?

Only people on here who are marked are those specifically designated from head office as the social media team. Kiosk reps (Arika, Erwin, etc.) are not marked on this forum. This isn't to say the reps are wrong, but it keeps official responses from those whose job it is to handle the social media aspects.
