Me too. I hardly ever use my cell phone for calls! I use it for texting and data. Thank you.

I think in the end you are really asking for a data only plan with few minutes to talk 🙂

Well haven't seen any Christmas packages yet.. I'm proposing a new system allowing the trade.. Once again setting KOODO apart from the rest of the pack..

You can never keep all of the people happy all of the time. And Canadian services tend to lag behind. In the US, you can buy a cheapie Tracfone Android phone with 600 mins, 600 texts and 600 MB of data that never expire as long as you buy extra service days, and you can top up JUST the data anytime. Consumer Cellular (US) also splits talk & data/msg so that you can mix and match at your convenience at very reasonable rates. They are resellers working on top of AT&T network. The $$$ problem with data is that DATA is what the BIG CORPS want, and are willing to pay for. Service providers have to allocate how much bandwidth they want to spend on this, and the lowly consumer with no decent land-line internet is at the very end of that list.
Hmm well KOODO is a telus subsidiary and most Canadians are unable to access US carriers.

The $$$ issue shouldn't be an issue for Canadian carriers or providers of any services.. Typically bandwidth is purchased in large blocks on a wholesale level..

As with most bandwidth related charges in Canada we are so badly gouged this is approaching Cdn mutual fund fees.. In a nutshell we already pay more then anyone else..

I think my idea would once again separate KOODO from the rest of the pack - which should always be their goal..

What about those of us with unlimited airtime? I'd love to trade those minutes toward more data.
