tab balance

I'm currently in Loathe with my current cell phone and am counting down the day until I can buy a new one. I'm down to 150$ on my tab balance and it's all that's holding me back. I get some extra money in a couple days and want to just pay it all off right then and there and go immediately buy a new phone but my bf has just mentioned that I may have to wait for the tab balance I just paid to show up on my monthly bill. Do I? Or can I pay off the tab on Tuesday and on Wednesday go buy a new phone?

Yes you can pay off your tab and buy another phone right after.

Just be aware of the tab bonus that might be on your account as well

If you need, you can also buy a phone outright. And not need to worry about the tab or tab bonus

To add on to the previous comment, I think it is best for you to weigh out your options. We do not know how much Tab Bonus balance is left on your account. I would suggest you to check it out first and consider whether it would be cheaper to get it now or wait it out until your Tab balance is $0. 

If you do not want to wait, I agree with Dennis and recommend you to get a phone outright. Depending on when you got your Tab, the Tab Bonus balance may be higher than expected and will eat into your savings.
