Sim card to a Captivate phone.

my sister-in-law gave me a captivate phone. I prefer it to my current galaxy ace. The phone was on the Rogers network when she used it. can I move my sim card from my ace to the Captivate? I am a Koodo subscriber.

Hi Lucas, you'll probably need to unlock the phone to work with Koodo, but once that's done, there is nothing stopping you from swapping your SIM card and start using it 🙂

I had a Captivate with Rogers back in the day. Great young Android. You'll definitely need to unlock it. I got my code for 8 bucks off cellunlocker.net. Once that's done, to enable MMS and data, you need to input the APN settings from Koodo for it to work.
I sent away to cellunlocker. Thanks. What are APN settings?

Thank you. I looked up APN on wikipedia so i would know what we're taking about. BUT... this link didn't quite work. When i tapped on Access Point Names, i got Telus, and I didn't get a 'New APN' button. Now what?
Hi no you can't use your kooodo sim card in the samsung captivate phone until you unlock it from roger network ..You can easily unlock your phone using sites like http://www.classicunlocking.com/samsung-sgh-i927/rs16wp9/ here they render unlock code for all mobile models at reliable cost ..After unlocking it from rogers you can freely use your kooodo sim in it ....
