Account in my name only. We just got new phones late last year. I probably won't be able to get husband to leave his.phone. If I cancel the second line what kind of penalty will I have?

You would probably have to pay back any bonuses you received by getting a phone on the tab and of course the remainder of the tab itself. If he wants to keep the number, you can split the account and have him take over his own line. Cost is $40 if I am not mistaken. In that case he becomes responsible for paying off his phone too.
