roaming in my country

So I go to a gym that has zero service inside. I constantly get texts/emails from Koodo saying that I'm in the US and now they are charging me for roaming when I'm 5minutes from my home. All of this is in one city and I am definitely not even close to the border. 


How do I stop getting charged for roaming?

This seems to be a strange case. What was the distance from the gym to the border? 

For disputing accidental roaming, you normally have to contact Koodo and ask a rep to check. They will refund if that was just an accidental roam incident. 

To avoid the issue in the future, try to set the network selection from automatic to manual (and select Koodo). Also disable data roaming within the phone settings.
