please help with adding another phone.


I hope that someone on here is abit more educated about my question. I just called koodo asking about my billing. I asked if I could have two phones on my account sharing the same minutes, she told me that I cant have two phone using the same plan, that it's not possible to have that.. but yet with other companies i can have two phones with the SAME plan with sharing usage along with air time.. so how is that not possible when the phone is on my account? keep in mind I will be using both of these phones, one will be for my company and the other will be for personal use, I dont want to have to pay two seperate bills a month when i can have two seperate phones, two seperate numbers, sharing the SAME plan and minutes! is this not possible?

Depending on your credit class with Koodo, the second line activation can be available. With this second line, due to Koodo currently not offering "shared" plans, it will have to have its own plan. Both lines will be on the same account and as such, will be on the same bill. So to answer your question...no, it is not possible to have 2 numbers, 2 phones, using the same plan "shared" with Koodo.
im off the spending limit, I have never had that problem! Well then koodo needs to get onto the whole "shared plan".

Yeah, I don't like shared plans. I was on one onece and my brother would inevitably always use more than I. Too much hassle.

For the time being, most likely not going to be for awhile. Make a suggestion in the idea page and see how much support it gets. Usually with enough support, Koodo may conssider it Koodo doesn't like to make things complicated if they can avoid it. Shared plans have been known to make billing issues arise such as who use x amount of minutes and such with results such as one user haveing too much usage vs the other lines on the account. I used to work for another communication company and dealing with a large amount of shared plans...it was messy. That being said, I have not heard any whispers about shared plans in the near future. Things can change though. Keep your eyes peeled 🙂

I'm so sorry I'm bringing this whole conversation back but I was wondering. I'm trading my iphone 6 for the iphone 6 plus on the regular tab and I'm on the spending limit program. Can I have the regular tab $360?

Hi Sarah, Koodo at the moment with Virgin are not sharing minutes/plans. The reason is because both companies are already a discount brand. Koodo offers plan that starts at $20 up to $60. I think you would get alot more than "shared plan" that other mobile companies are offering anyways. Koodo have canada-wide calling, unlimited messaging international, voicemail, call display to all of the plans. Shared plans are usually quite expensive and is only limited to local minutes. Plus its confusing. I hope it helps.
