"phone required" error when buying only a SIM card and a plan


I am trying to create a new account using the webstore. I already own an unlocked phone. I am trying to purchase a SIM and select a plan, but when I checkout I am told that I need to select a phone. Is there no way to create an account this way using the webstore? Do I need go to a store and do it in person?

You don't create the account using the webstore. Checkout with ONLY the sim card selected, not the plan. When you receive the sim card, call Koodo at 1-866-995-6636 and they can activate it for you. Online activations are down so you can't activate or create an account online.
You could also go to a kiosk/retailer and they can set it up for you.

Just buy it at a koodo kiosk or retailer, its faster.
