One week after warranty my phone broke!

Bought a phone 21 days ago half the screen has gone white. The warranty says 14 days, does this mean I can't get replaced over seven days?

Was it a pre-owned device?

The 14 days is just the return period not the warranty, all phone come with a 1 year limited warranty. Just bring the phone into your local koodo kiosk and they can send it for repairs. It will be covered under warranty if there is no physical damage that caused the screen to go like that. If the phone was dropped or something and the screen is cracked at all then you will have to pay for the repair as that is considered physical damage. Just take it to a kiosk and they will be able to tell you. If they have to send it away you'll be given a loaner phone until yours is fixed.

Wouldn't there be a charge for the loaner? http://community.koodomobile.com/koodo/topics/phone_is_not_working_within_warranty_loaner_phone_have_a_cost

According to others the deposit fee has been dropped for loaner phones.

To confirm what Paul is saying, the deposit fee has indeed been dropped. I don't know why Koodo didn't make this information easier to verify, by now there would have been enough people sending phones for repairs for this to just be public knowledge. It's like they just removed mention of a deposit fee for loaner phones from the warranty desciption and left the rest of the world draw their own conclusions. Check it out, no mention of deposit here so I guess we're supposed to assume that the deposit no longer exists? http://help.koodomobile.com/getting-started-with-koodo/before-you-purchase/what-is-your-warranty-and-repair-policy

They dropped the fee July 14, 2013, same day they introduced the new tabs.

Curtules: Ya, I read through that article too, prior to posting my question. What raised concern was the last bit about, "Please visit a participating Koodo Shop for more details", so I wasn't sure if the OP was going to get slapped with a loaner fee by a 'non-participating' Koodo Shop or not. Thank you all, you learn something new everyday 🙂

Also, if you purchased the phone from a Koodo kiosk you have 30 days to return the phone for one of the same model.

Certain credit cards doubles the warranty length as described on your invoice, so if you bought with a credit card, check the terms of the card and see if your card issuer offers this.
