Old Samsung S5 Unlocked Phone stops working a day after.

Hi, my friend gave me his old Samsung S5.  It was originally locked to Telus I believe.

I used Koodo’s self serve unlocking forms.  It gave me the unlock code pretty quickly and it worked with my Rogers data plan sim.

Day after, the phone can not detect any sim card from any carrier whatsoever.

I try the *06* to find imei number, but only the SN number shows up, no imei.

Was my imei blacklisted or something?  And if so how could I get this resolved

Try entering *#06# this should show both the IMEI and serial number. You can also locate the IMEI number by going to Settings > About Phone. If you suspect the phone is blacklisted, click on the link below and enter the phones’ IMEI number. If it turns out the phone is blacklisted, only the original owner can remove the phone from the blacklist.

Thanks, my device isn’t blacklisted… guess the old phone is just dying, it randomly rebooting for no reason should have been my first red flag
