Number Porting

When someone ports a number from company X to company Y, is there any time restriction in porting said number from company Y to company Z? Example: Customer ports from Telus to Fido. Customer realizes Fido has subpar coverage at their home and that Telus was fine. Wanting to save money, they consider Koodo, which uses the same network as Telus. Can they immediately port their number away from Fido to Koodo?

It would be instant(well, sometimes it could take 5-10 minutes). If a customer just so chooses to do so, there wouldn't be a waiting period 🙂

To clarify, I'm not asking about the "speed" of porting. I'm asking if in the abovementioned example Fido would "hold" the ported number for a period of time, preventing a port to another company for a while.

UPDATE: I've received response from Koodo that the customer is the owner of the number and that there are no restrictions, so I consider this question resolved.
To add to Koodo's response: if you port from Koodo to another provider (that is not TELUS), you cannot port back to Koodo right away. Koodo self-serve will say something like "the number is still active on our network". You then need to wait, for 30 days or until the current billing cycle ends, which one I'm not sure. Otherwise, there are no restrictions. It's just Koodo being Koodo. No problems if you do Koodo>TELUS>Koodo.
